Abstract: Dam monitoring system appraisal is a special subject in periodical damsafety inspection of the power system. Dam deformation monitoring is an important itemin monitoring system, that much attention should be paid on it in the systemappraisal. At present, kinds of problems existed in the practice of dam deformation monitoring by surveying. Aimed at the problems, the paper made some discussion.
