Abstract: Combined with projects, this paper narrated the enhancement necessity for upstream seepage prevention at concrete dams in cold areas in aspects such as dam structure safety (intensity and stability), accidents treatment and dam durability (seepage corrosion, freeze-thaw and frost heave of the concrete).

摘要： 从坝体结构安全（强度、稳定）、大坝事故处理和大坝耐久性（混凝土渗漏溶蚀、冻融和冻胀破坏）等方面，用工程实例说明寒冷地区加强混凝土坝上游防渗的必要性。
