Under the background of ecological civilization construction, the small reservoirs are mainly faced with problems such as urgent adjustment of function, operation and management mode, improvement of technical standards and emergency management, and strengthening of supervision capability. Based on systematically sorting out the existing problems of small reservoirs, the basic path of systematic governance of small reservoirs is proposed, and corresponding measures such as classified management of small reservoirs, improvement of relevant technical standards and emergency management as well as strengthening of supervision capability are put forward.
