Abstract: The importance of stress and strain monitoring of high concrete dams was emphasized here. As well, the issues on monitoring instruments selection, design optimization and some specifications in safety monitoring norm were discussed in this paper. At last, some advices were advanced, for further discussion.

摘要： 强调了高混凝土坝应力应变监测的重要性，并对监测仪器选型、监测设计优化问题及监测规范中的相应内容进行了讨论，提出一些个人意见，供探讨。
