Abstract: The aging of concrete dams is manifested by surface carbonization, freeze-thaw, abrasion, weathering, internal corrosion, frost-heaving, cracks, water erosion and et al. As time goes by, dam aging becomes serious and the overload coefficient gets close to 1 which means the dam is losing its function gradually. This paper analyzed the aging of concrete dams and evaluated dam safety, for reference.
