Abstract: Under the long-term complex natural condition and the effect of various both inner and outside forces, the state of earth-rock dam is changing momentarily and safety trouble may generate without obvious prewarnings. Especially, because of careless design, poor-quality construction and unsuitable management, security of earth-rock dams built earlier after the country founded have many problems. So it is very significant to give a safety appraisal to existing earth-rock dam for the sequential maintaining and reinforcing work to protect downstream dwellers’ lives and their properties. And this article will take Jinji reservoir and dam of Jingmen City in Hubei province as an example so show the method and content of safety appraisal of earth-rock dam.

摘要： 土石坝在长期复杂的自然环境条件和各种荷载作用下，容易产生安全隐患，尤其国内早期修建的土石坝因为设计考虑不周、施工质量差、运行管理不当，大坝安全受到严重影响。因此，对病险土石坝及时进行安全鉴定，以便及早采取维修加固措施，对保护下游人民生命财产安全具有十分重要的意义。本文结合湖北省荆门市金鸡水库工程实例，探讨类似工程进行安全鉴定应注意的问题。
