Inspection after earthquake and safety monitoring for Kezhi’er reservoir

Abstract: Kezhi’er reservoir is a large hydro project built on the active fault and strong earthquake region with10years construction. The reservoir has been operating for 10 years, the maximum water level is up to 1148.3 m near to the maximum profitable water level of 1149.6 m. The dam experienced the trials of 5.6M earthquake with18 km apart from epicenter occurred on15th May, 1999 and 50-year return flood with peak flow of 2590m3 /s occurred on23rd July,1999. No abnormal event has been found in dam by inspecting after earthquake and analysing observational data. The part defects resulted from foundation treatment and constructing quality in construction period.

摘要: 克孜尔水库是在活断层、强震区建造的一座大型水利枢纽工程,历时10a建成,水库运行已10a,库水位最高达1148.3m,已接近最高兴利水位1149.6m。大坝经历了1999年3月15日震中距坝址18km的5.6级地震和1999年7月19日50a一遇、洪峰流量为2590m3/s的大洪水考验,通过震后检查与观测资料分析,未见异常情况。局部出现的缺陷属于施工期基础处理和填筑质量问题。
