摘要: 目前,受西雅图-普吉特海湾地区动态科技和创业文化的影响,通过“云技术”进行数据分享已成为趋势。这一趋势也为大坝安全工程师、大坝业主和当地的安全官员提供了新的机会,可实现便捷的信息共享和高效协同。“云技术”使社交媒体、众包、搜索引擎和线上金融业务等实现了高效的数据共享和数据处理。有了云架构的帮助,地理键控数据现在能应用于许多领域,包括工程领域。所有数据和软件都能便捷地使用地理地图工具(如谷歌地图和资源公开的公开街道地图)来形成图像地图界面,以帮助大坝安全工程师处理大坝安全趋势问题。

Abstract: A general trend toward data sharing via the "cloud", helped in great part by the dynamic technology start-up culture in the Seattle - Puget Sound area, offers dam safety engineers, dam owners, and local safety officials new opportunities for easy information sharing and efficient collaboration. The "cloud" enables efficient sharing and processing of data for social media, crowd-sourcing, search engines, and online financial transactions. With the help of cloud architecture, geographically-keyed data is now available for many uses including engineering. Both data and software are easily leveraged with geographical mapping tools like Google maps and the open source Open Street Maps to create graphical mapping interfaces that help dam safety engineers address dam safety trends.
