Abstract: In this paper, the current situation of safety monitoring data analysis of hydropower dams is summarized and existing problems are pointed out. The idea is advanced that the data analysis, combining with the structural characteristics, geological condition, environmental variation and based on the monitoring instruments, should focus on trend analysis and diagnosis of abnormity. In this way, technical data can be better provided for evaluation of dam safety performance. As well, the future prospect of safety monitoring data analysis is presented, for reference.
