Abstract: In order to solve some key problems occurred in hydraulic projects which are completed and during construction, based on the characteristics of high dams and super high dams, as well as dams with defects, the paper discussed the current research on concrete dams, earth dams and face-slab rock fill dams. What's more, the advantages and disadvantages were analyzed and the further research needed was pointed out, for reference.
