Abstract: Based on engineering characteristics of the high dam group in Yalong river basin, this paper points out these key issues in operation safety as well as main technical issues need to be solved in operation period, such as the operation safety of over-flow structures in complex conditions and the application of dynamic diagnosis and geophysical detection technology. Further, the management trend of dam safety is also discussed, resulted in a new direction of development, namely the risk management and the digitized dam safety management.
