摘要： 2005年12月14日，因设计、施工不当，仪器方面的失误和人为失误等众多原因，美国Taum Sauk抽水蓄能电站上水库失事，自此停止运营。主要介绍失事的过程和原因，供参考。
Abstract: A variety of design and construction flaws, instrumentation error, and human errors contributed to a catastrophic failure of the upper reservoir on Dec 14, 2005. Ever since, the project has been out of operation. This paper introduced the failure process and cause reasons were analysed, for reference.
