Abstract: This paper introduced the working principle and key technology in remote automatic monitoring system for road slope, as well, the remote automatic monitoring system based on GPRS network was established and applied in projects. Research showed that, it can take place of manual monitoring partly, suitable for field working, its reliable monitoring data can be reference for design and construction. At last, issues calling for further research were advanced here．
