Abstract: After years of operation in complicated situation and kinds of load, serious hidden disease would appear. Especially happen in dams that built several decades ago, since the lack of design consideration, impropriety of management and poor construction quality. So, the safety assessment is necessary for the discovery of hidden disease and rehabilitation in time. Combined with the project case at Luyuan reservoir, this paper discussed the points need attention in similar damsafety assessment.
