Abstract: The contradiction between flood control and profit is getting increasingly serious as industry and agriculture develop. This paper discusses the selection of flood limiting water level which makes optimum combination of flood control and profit by tak-ing full advantage of water resource of Taihe basin. The primary principle,model and calculation method of risk analysis of dam overtopping are briefly introduced.?
