Abstract: This paper described the importance of sustaining development of hydropower dam safety management, as well as the basic works undertaken by LDSSC for nearly 20 years. In the present case of electric power system reform, it should strengthen hydropower dam safety management, develop sustaining dam safety management ability in practice, scrape up the developing stamina, and sincerely serve Chinese hydropower dam safety field.?
