Abstract: This paper introduces the test and design check to the sluice gate and hoist of Liuxihe Power Station, including the test to the gate appearance, erodibility check, stress and deformation calculation, test and calculation of hoist capability. Pitfalls existed in the gate have been found through this review and measures will be taken in order to ensure the safety operation of Liuxihe Dam.
