Abstract: Concrete dam displacement, especial for dam foundation or arch support, is an important target to judge the safety. The displacement automated monitoring instruments are furnished with high accuracy and quick acquisition when compared with manual readings This paper describes tiltmeter, borehole displacement instrument and automated plumbline monitoring instrument taking from foreign information. These electronic instruments, now operating at home and abroad, are beneficial for enhancing and improving economy and safety in dam design.
