Abstract: With the increase of service life, most dams in United States have entered an aging period, and the risk of dam failure is rising. Based on the American dam safety incident database constructed by ASDSO, classification and statistical results are analyzed, such as annual average number, types, heights, storage capacities of the failed dams and the accident causes. As well, major dam safety accidents in United States in the last 10 years and their causes are introduced.

摘要： 随着服役年限的增长，美国大多数大坝已进入老化期，溃坝风险处于上升趋势。对美国大坝安全官员联合会（ASDSO）建设的美国大坝安全事故数据库进行分类统计，对年平均溃坝数、溃坝坝型比率、坝高比率、库容比率、事故原因等统计结果进行分析，并介绍近10年来的美国大坝重大安全事故及其原因。
