Abstract: In this paper, the function and design principle of filter at earth-rock fill dams were introduced.Combined with an example, it illustrated the idea that, under protection of filter, crakes on impervious layer can be self-healing.Namely, filter protection is key measure to realize seepage safety control.

摘要： 综述了土石坝坝体反滤层的功能与设计原则，引用工程实例说明防渗体裂缝在反滤层保护下可以自愈，以期使设计与施工人员进一步明确采用反滤层保护大坝渗流出口是实现渗流安全控制的关键性措施。
