Abstract: The rapid development of Internet technology provides a new carrier and platform for GIS, resulting in a WEBGIS, web-based geographic information system. The WEB GIS which functions on the WWW is based on the Internet platform and adopts WWW protocol. Based on the treatise of summarization, principle and conformation of WEBGIS. MapXtreme was selected for Windows platform as map server of campus WEBGIS and adopts Asp technology, by aborative design for system, the basis function of electronical map of campus WEBGIS, function of map and text inquiry, together with the function of management and edit of map data and other correlative information were achieved.

摘要： 网络技术的飞速发展为GIS提供了一种全新的载体和平台，因此产生了WEBGIS，即万维网地理信息系统。万维网地理信息系统指基于互联网平台、客户端应用软件采用www协议运行在万维网上的地理信息系统。本论文在对WEBGIS的概述、原理、构造方法等论述的基础上，选用MapXtreme for Windows平台作为校园WEBGIS的地图服务器，采用了Asp技术，通过详细的系统设计，实现了校园WEBGIS的电子地图的基本功能，并具备图文查询、管理编辑地图数据及其相关信息的功能。
