Abstract: This paper analysed the current situation of thunder and lightning proof in dam safety monitoring system in our country and pointed out the reason why destroy of dam safety monitoring system happens. According to the environment characteristics of the damsafetymonitoring systemworks, combined with the success experience in similar projects, the measure and actualization plan for the protection was advanced.
